Air conditioning units
Passenger ships make high demands on the comfort of many guests in the narrowest of spaces. In this regard, ENGIE Axima offers the option of a one-channel, two-channel or a fan coil system. The basis of these systems are central air conditioning units, often equipped with heat recovery. This way, high air volumes are realized at a comparably low energy consumption.
Engine rooms are the heart of every vessel. The safe operation of the systems in these rooms is used, amongst other things, for the proper manoeuvrability of the vessel. For the operational safety of the systems, ENGIE Axima delivers proven solutions ensuring an optimal extraction of the combustion air as well as cooling air and also ensuring a specially efficient, low-noise and energy-efficient ventilation of the rooms.
Fan coil units
Fan coil units are an option for the cost-efficient air conditioning of passenger ships. Systems designed by ENGIE Axima are compact and efficient. With this, they contribute to saving space, a faster and easy assembly as well as to reducing energy during operation.
Axial, radial, high-pressure fans
Fans on passenger ships are often used for the ventilation of rooms that are in different fire protection zones. ENGIE Axima uses efficient external rotor motors as well as EC motors on the corresponding fans to achieve the optimal most energy-efficient operating point at a very high air volume.
Ice water cooling systems
For central beverage trace cooling on cruise ships, ENGIE Axima offers special ice water cooling systems. Here, water with a temperature of approx. 1°C makes for optimal cooling of the beverages - also over long distances - up to the tap connection.
Provision cooling systems
Especially cruise ships require a large amount of provisions for their guests and crew, which has to be stored properly while complying with special hygiene conditions. ENGIE Axima develops individual provision cooling systems for large and small cruise ships. Be it a cooling system with direct evaporation for smaller systems or a brine chiller for the cooling with coolant systems: ENGIE Axima always provides the tailored solution for the entire required performance spectrum.
Chilled water units
For the use on passenger ships, ENGIE Axima provides tailored water chillers, optimally designed in view of the cooling performance to be achieved of the respective ventilation systems. The systems are designed with any requested redundancy and work with an automated control system that is connected to the vessel monitoring system. The pump-out unit, required according to the classification, is also included in delivery.
ENGIE Axima offers a diverse range of fire-extinguishing systems using water as an extinguishing agent. Be it hydrant, sprinkler, low-pressure or high-pressure water mist systems: ENGIE Axima designs, manufactures and installs individually designed fire-extinguishing systems for the main fire-extinguishing system as well as for enclosures of engines and energy generators.
ENGIE Axima offers the complete range of CO2 fire-extinguishing systems for the use on passenger ships. In rooms with a high fire load, such as for example engine rooms or paint storage rooms, CO2-based automated fire-extinguishing systems are used. Fixed systems replace the mobile units required by the classification societies.
ENGIE Axima designs, delivers and installs pipe systems for any type of on-board operation systems. In this regard, we are able to process different materials depending on the type of medium to be fed.
ENGIE Axima manufactures custom-tailored switchboards and control systems with which you will be able to gain a quick and comprehensive overview of our different systems on board. All control cabinets are manufactured pursuant to the requirements according to standards and provisions of the international classification societies DNV, GL, LR, BV as well as the VDE testing and certification institute. For the use on naval vessels and submarines, the control cabinets are delivered in a shock-resistant and vibration-proof design.
The ENGIE Axima switchboards and control systems can be equipped with an SPC and a touch panel for operation and detailed fault display. A visualization of the respective system as well as the operation and control may also be carried out with one or several remote control panel. An interface to the superordinate control systems of the vessel is provided to control our systems.
