Air conditioning units
Narrow space conditions on board of submarines make special demands on the design of air conditioning units for an optimal integration. NOSKE-KAESER develops low-noise and custom-fit air conditioning units made from high-strength aluminium for every type of vessel. These correspond to the highest international standards regarding functionality, maintainability and stability.
Outside air-independent cooling of the engine room on submarines is vital. In this regard, NOSKE-KAESER uses a cooling combination in the engine room air conditioning units, and the cooling medium is based on chilled water or seawater.
Provision cooling systems
For the use on submarines, NOSKE-KAESER offers especially compact and noise-optimized provision cooling systems in a shock-resistant and vibration-proof design. The systems feed the standard refrigeration rooms as well as the refrigerators in the galley area.
Chilled water units
For use especially on board of submarines, NOSKE-KAESER offers individual and space-optimized water chillers with screw compressor in a low-noise as well as shock-resistant and vibration-proof design. In this regard, if required, chilled water pump systems as well as seawater cooling systems are already integrated on the water chiller.
A/C cooling system
Direct evaporation cooling systems for air conditioning are especially suitable for smaller systems. Our space-optimized cooling systems with screw compressors or piston compressors in a low-noise, shock-resistant as well as vibration-proof design are optimal for the use in submarines.
Nitrex® is the worldwide only nitrogen fire-extinguishing system, specially designed by NOSKE-KAESER for the use on submarines. Only pure nitrogen is used as extinguishing agent; this prevents contamination of the atmosphere in the submarine. Arrangement and dimensions of the system are made on the basis of the available space.
NOSKE-KAESER offers a diverse range of fire-extinguishing systems using water as an extinguishing agent. Be it hydrant, sprinkler, low-pressure or high-pressure water mist systems: NOSKE-KAESER designs, manufactures and installs individually designed fire-extinguishing systems for engine and battery rooms on submarines.
NOSKE-KAESER designs, delivers and installs pipe systems for any type of on-board operation systems. In this regard, we are able to process different materials depending on the type of medium to be fed. NOSKE-KAESER also has the required permits for welding on board of naval vessels.
Pressure holding systems
NOSKE-KAESER offers for the water systems used on board pressure holding systems designed according to your requirements. The reservoirs are designed and manufactured by NOSKE-KAESER. In addition, we have the required permit for the welding of pressure tanks.
NOSKE-KAESER manufactures custom-tailored switchboards and control systems with which you will be able to gain a quick and comprehensive overview of our different systems on board. All control cabinets are manufactured pursuant to the requirements according to standards and provisions of the international classification societies DNV, GL, LR, BV as well as the VDE testing and certification institute. For the use on naval vessels and submarines, the control cabinets are delivered in a shock-resistant and vibration-proof design.
The NOSKE-KAESER switchboards and control systems can be equipped with an SPC and a touch panel for operation and detailed fault display. A visualization of the respective system as well as the operation and control may also be carried out with one or several remote control panel. An interface to the superordinate control systems of the vessel is provided to control our systems.
